Finding God

I couldn’t feel it

I couldn’t see it

But it was there

And my meditation buddy saw it.

I have been searching for it for days

Wondering why God had left me

Where had God wandered off to

Why was I left alone

Feeling sad

Feeling shame.

This morning during meditation

On Zoom with my pals

I let the sun warm my face

While I searched.

My buddy took a screenshot

Of my face and body lit up in white

With the rays of light

Seemingly exploding from my

Crown chakra

As if God in all God’s glory

And infinite wisdom

Was pouring God’s love

Into my body

Just to prove

That God has always been here

And all I had to do

Was open my eyes.
