Peace

They say,

Let there be peace on earth

And let it begin with me.

Yet you look around and all you see

Is violence

Hate

Intolerance

Suffering,

Because of skin color

Because of political party

Because of choice to wear a mask or not

Because…

Well, because you are other than me.

And this makes you

Angry

And so you

Create violence

Hate

Intolerance

And suffering

Toward the other.

At no time in the history of humans

Has there been so much

Knowledge of all humans

Of their struggles

Their inequality

Their differences,

And their similarities.

It is time to bring

Peace

To all.

It is time

To create peace.

The world is depending on you.

Yes, you.

And only you.

Because the only thing you can DO

Is to bring peace into the world

By first being at peace.

So breathe in

“Let there be”

Breathe out

“peace on earth”

Breathe in

“let it be-“

Breathe out

“-gin with me”

Repeat this,

All day,

Every day,

And watch how your peace

Creates peace around you

And spreads.
